What Nosework Addicts is all about
What began with teaching our dogs the game of searching grew into a passion for learning, competing, volunteering, and helping other teams discover the incredible things their dogs can do. Over the years, we’ve spent countless hours training, setting hides, competing, volunteering at trials, hosting trials, attending seminars, and learning from some of the best people in the sport.
Our inspiration: building confidence through Nosework
Nosework Addicts, LLC began with one dog and a journey that changed everything.
We discovered nosework as a way to help our environmentally sensitive Rottweiler "Mason" build confidence and feel more comfortable in the world around him. What started as a way to help one dog soon became something much bigger. We watched Mason transform as he learned to trust his incredible nose, solve problems, and experience success on his own terms.
Seeing that transformation firsthand sparked a passion in us to share the incredible power of nosework with other dogs and their people.
We believe every dog has an amazing nose and the potential to do incredible things with it. Nosework gives dogs the opportunity to think, explore, problem-solve, and succeed while building confidence and strengthening the bond they share with their handlers.
At Nosework Addicts, we’re passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment where every team can learn, grow, and most importantly, have fun together.
Why We Love Nosework
What we love most about nosework is watching dogs discover just how amazing they truly are.
There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing a dog trust their instincts, work through a challenge, and gain confidence with every search. And then comes that unforgettable “aha” moment when the dog finds the scent and their handler realizes they’ve done it together.
Nosework creates a unique connection between dog and handler built on trust, communication, and teamwork. Every successful search is more than just finding the scent, it’s a shared accomplishment and another opportunity to strengthen the incredible bond between you and your dog.
We love watching teams learn, grow, and discover what they’re capable of one search at a time.
Our Training Philosophy
At Nosework Addicts, LLC, we believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to training. We work with the dog in front of us.
Every dog is an individual, with their own personality, experiences, strengths, challenges, and unique way of learning. Our goal is to understand each dog as an individual and tailor our training to help them succeed.
We meet teams where they are, building on their strengths while thoughtfully addressing areas where they may need support. We believe learning should be positive, engaging, and rewarding for both the dog and the handler.
Whether your goal is to build confidence, have fun, strengthen your bond, or pursue competition, we provide personalized instruction and guidance designed to help each team become the best version of themselves.
Because the best training isn’t about making every dog learn the same way, it’s about discovering what helps your dog learn best.
